Learn how to stay informed about updates to ParseX capabilities, APIs, limits, and billing rules.
This page distinguishes between documentation site updates and product releases. For changes to product capabilities, pricing, and service availability, refer to console announcements, official product documentation, and service notices.
Established the documentation system covering Parse, Extract, REST API, Skill, configuration, tasks, usage, and references.
What Release Notes Cover
Official release notes typically include:
- Capability changes: Features added, adjusted, or deprecated in Parse, Extract, or integration methods.
- API changes: Request fields, response structures, statuses, error codes, and compatibility impact.
- Formats and limits: Supported file types, upload boundaries, Schema, or result retention rules.
- Metering and billing: Changes to metering units, processing methods, free quotas, or pricing rules.
- Migration guidance: Instructions for when you need to create new configurations, adjust requests, or re-validate samples.
How to Assess the Impact of a Change
1
Confirm the Scope of Impact
Check which capabilities, integration methods, regions, Workspaces, and effective conditions the change involves.
2
Review Your Configurations
Saved configurations are immutable. To adopt new parameters or behaviors, create a new draft and save it as a new
config_id.3
Regress with Real Samples
Validate common inputs and boundary samples separately, checking result structure, Citations, field status, latency, and usage.
4
Switch Callers Gradually
Explicitly switch officially released channels to the new configuration, and keep the old
config_id for checking historical tasks. After the REST production entry and the official Skill are released, the same configuration governance method applies to both.Get Current Rules
- For file types, playground limits, and result retention, see Supported Files and Limits.
- For the configuration lifecycle, see Save and Reuse Configurations.
- For async status and usage tracking, see Tasks and Usage.
If pricing, limits, or API descriptions differ across pages or historical materials, refer to the official billing page and the latest published API documentation.
